Israeli surplus Beretta 71 0.22 pistols for sale. These are from a dwindling stock of previously plentiful Beretta 71 pistols used mainly by the Israeli police before switching to the Jericho pistols. The Beretta 71 was also used mainly by El-Al airlines security guards, which were mostly undercover, as well as Israeli special forces units and Mossad agents. the Beretta 71 0.22lr pistols were used mostly in short range distances where accurate shots needed to be taken with minimal collateral damage.
The Beretta model 71 was sold in .22LR caliber only, and featured an aluminum alloy frame instead of the steel frame used in the Model 70 and 70s. This change reduced the weight of the pistol by about 200 grams. The 71 (and 72) were also marketed as the “Jaguar”.
Not importable as-is to the US due to barrel length and weight that are below the BATF importation point system requirements.
