The PSL-54 is a Romanian military designated marksman rifle similar in appearance, mission and specifications to the Russian SVD Dragunov, but is mechanically completely different and based on the RPK light machine gun which is built with a stamped steel receiver, wider forward section enabling a strengthened, more substantial front trunnion. The only similarities the PSL has with the SVD are the caliber, 7.62x54r, side rail for scope mount, and magazine capacity. The PSL magazines have an X pattern on their sides as opposed to the waffle design on the SVD magazines. Also, the PSL rifles are not parts interchangeable with the SVD rifles.
These Romanian Cugir PSL-54 rifles come with their original LPS 4×6° TIP2 telescopic sight made by IOR (Romanian Optical Enterprises) and with one magazine. They are in very good condition.
For import into the US or Canada theses rifles need to be made into parts kits or demiled according to your specifications. Other military surplus rifles that we have available might not need modifications and can be imported as-is since not on an AK style receiver.
